Picking the Perfect Photographer
There are tons of Wedding Photographers out these days. All of
them have their own unique style and offerings. When choosing, here
are some things to consider:
Style
Do some research online and find a style that you love. Some photographers
take a very traditional picture, while others take a more Art-sy
styled picture. Pick the style before you pick your photographer
to narrow the search.
Price
Once the style is choosen, look through photographers online and
get a feel for costs. In the Wedding World, you get what you pay
for, especially with Photographers. If you want amazing pictures,
you're going to pay for them. If you don't really care what the
pictures look like, all you really want are a couple snapshots of
the day, go with a less expensive Photographer. Keep in mind that
pictures are the only thing you will physically have (unless you
are getting a Videographer) to remember your day by. Memories fade,
but your pictures will always remain.
Products
Most Photographers now offer things other than Albums. Coffee Table
Books are a great way to get your pictures in a more Art-sy fashion.
These books come in different sizes and they are a beautiful alternative
to the standard Wedding Album. There are Photographers out there
who offer Magazines of your pictures, magnets of your pictures,
etc. You don't have to get the standard album any longer. Not all
Photographers offer all the same products. Check around and see
what they offer and if you like them, start talking money.
Be Careful!
There are some Photographers who you may meet with and agree to
hire and on the Wedding Day, another Photographer shows up. This
doesn't happen often, but it has happened in the past. Some Photographers
have assistants that also take pictures. So, make sure you know
exactly who will be there and you should sign a contract stating
important details like: price, date, etc.
